The Master of Science in Architecture (M.S. Arch) is a 30-credit advanced degree program for students and returning mid-career professionals who want to develop a specialized and personalized program of architectural studies centered on scholarly studies and research. The program is independently driven rather than curricular and determined in close collaboration with a faculty advisor.
Graduates will bring specialized knowledge to diverse professional settings that involve collaboration, interaction and communication with other professionals. With the guidance of faculty, students craft their own course of studies in accordance with the program requirements. Students may use the degree to explore their chosen field of research prior to continuation with Ph.D. studies or, if they are mid-career professionals, shape or extend their expertise in a particular field relevant to their area of practice.
This degree is not accredited by the National Architecture Accrediting Board (NAAB).
