Admission Requirements

  1. Academic Background

Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (4.0 scale).
    Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

  2. Tests
    Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Requirement

The GRE is not required. If students believe making GRE scores available to the DUP admissions and awards process would provide additional information that would buttress their record in light of previous academic performance, DUP would consider the GRE scores in that context.

    * This new policy responds to these trying times calling for more diverse, equitable, and inclusive graduate education. Historically, standardized tests, including the GRE, haves disadvantaged underrepresented students (The Atlantic, 2016). Recognizing the barriers imposed by the GRE requirement in our admissions and awards process, the Department modified its policy in order to remove barriers and strive to make progress towards our mission to enhance the quality of life and social equity for all.

International students are required to submit test results from the TOEFL or IELTS (minimum score requirements: TOEFL: 100(iBT); IELTS: 7.0).
    Institution Code: 1473

  3. Letters of Recommendation

Three letters of recommendation from people familiar with your academic and/or professional work. Letters should be from non-related individuals who know you through previous academic programs or relevant professional activity.
