UW-Milwaukee Design & Build Camp
Thank you for your interest in the UW-Milwaukee Design & Build Camp (formerly the NAF Future Ready Scholars Camp)! To participate in the program, you must be a part of the class of 2025 or 2026 from an MPS high school, complete this application, and submit.
Rising juniors and seniors, you can help design the future! Join the UW-Milwaukee Design& Build Camp – spend two weeks this summer engaging in hands-on, design, engineering, and construction experiential learning. With guidance from UWM faculty, college teaching assistants, community partners, and STEM professionals, campers will delve into how engineering and architecture are used in the real world. Campers will design, engineer, and construct a project to beautify a Milwaukee Neighborhood.
Additionally, they will participate in college and career readiness sessions that will put them on a path toward post-secondary success. All rising juniors and seniors are eligible to apply!
Camp dates: June 3-14th, 2024, 9:00am – 4:00 pm daily
Location: UW-Milwaukee campus
Fees: There is no fee for the camp, thanks to our sponsors and partners – the Milwaukee Public Schools, the MPS Foundation, the UW-Milwaukee School of Architecture & Urban Planning, the UW-Milwaukee College of Engineering & Applied Science and the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Stipend & Credit: Participants who complete the full program (at least 80% attendance, active participation and following of program rules) will be paid a stipend and receive MPS internship credit).

You must complete all parts of this application to be considered for the program.

Virtual SUMMER CAMP
A week-long educational program for students contemplating the study of architecture at the university level. Students live in the residence halls at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

SARUP Tour
Meet with an academic advisor and tour our building with a current student. Tours can be combined with a general campus tour through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
