NAF Future Ready Scholars at UW-Milwaukee
During the summer program, high school students engage in STEM education for college and career readiness such as ACT/SAT prep, resume writing, career panels, and job training activities. Students have engaged with local design professionals through firm tours and site visits to learn more about the architecture, engineering, and construction professions.
There is no charge to participate in this camp. Fees for the camp are fully paid for by a special student award from NAF and MKE partners. In addition, a stipend will be offered to the scholars upon successful completion of the program.
Applications for the upcoming NAF Future Ready Scholars session at UWM will open in early spring. Eligible MPS rising juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply.
The NAF Future Ready Scholars program at UWM represents a partnership involving UWM’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning, the College of Engineering & Applied Science, Milwaukee Public Schools, and Milwaukee Area Technical College. Additionally, past collaborators include Journey House and All Hands Boathouse.
Reach out to Mo Zell if interested in partnering with NAF Future Ready Scholars for future camps.
