You’re invited to a Centennial Celebration of Frank Lloyd Wright and the 100th anniversary of his American System-Built homes on Burnham Street and The Bogk House on Terrace Avenue in Milwaukee.
On July 5, 1916 construction of four duplexes and two bungalows was completed in the 2700 block of West Burnham Street, which at the time was at the city limits of Milwaukee. The homes were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built by Milwaukee developer Arthur L. Richards. The homes are the only known grouping of the American System-Built design used by Wright to offer attractive and affordable housing to the larger population. This event will celebrate the centennial of Wright’s American System-Built homes in Milwaukee as well as other buildings he designed locally and statewide.
