University Housing provides a variety of options for summer housing, depending on your needs.

Summer Residence Hall Contracts

If you meet one of the following you are eligible for a Summer Residence Hall Contract

Enrolled in one (1) or multiple UWM Summer Sessions
UWM student participating in any University-sponsored internship with a Milwaukee-based firm (proof of internship required)
UWM Summer Student Employee (letter from employer required)

Summer Residence Hall Contracts are available for four weeks or longer. If you require housing for less than four weeks you must submit a Request for Late Departure. Late Departure requests may be made for any date between May 19 and (no later than) June 1.

Summer Residence Hall Contract Rates vary based on room type and length of stay. Average rates are $105-$175 per week. Prices are charged nightly and are very competitive for the Milwaukee area. You will receive the complete rate schedule with your contract.

Make sure you read and understand the terms of the Summer Contract. If you have any questions, contact University Housing (414-229-4065) BEFORE you sign and submit the Summer Contract. If you would like to change your summer contract dates or cancel your Summer Contract after you’ve completed it, please submit the Summer Contract Adjustment Form below. Note: There is a $25 processing charge for each change requested.

Summer Contract Adjustment

By submitting this form to University Housing you are indicating that you would like to make the following changes to your University Housing Summer 2023 contract. As your contract indicates each change you request will result in a $25 processing fee.

In order for your request to be processed:
1. You must be in good financial standing with the University;
2. Extended residency will not be approved without valid proof of need;
3. You cannot shorten the length of your contract to be less than 4 weeks, and
4. You must provide at least two business days notice prior to any new departure date.

Contract must be received by University Housing a minimum of 3 business days before desired date of entry. The priority deadline for Summer Session I contracts is May 1. All Summer Residence Hall Contract Holders are bound to the terms and conditions of the Summer Contract, and University Housing Rules and Regulations outlined in the Resident Handbook.
