Biography

Kevin Giese received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1992, and his Master of Fine Arts degree in 2007, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has exhibited throughout Wisconsin, as well as the Midwest in solo and group shows. Some highlights include the Dean Jensen Gallery, Cardinal Stritch College, Northwestern Mutual Life, Lawrence University, Portrait Society Gallery, and Lynden Sculpture Garden.

Kevin’s choice of imagery and materiality in his artworks reflect his affinity with the natural world. The conceptual framework and working process that began during the early period of his career has matured for his present installation work. Currently Kevin is an Associate Lecturer at the Peck School of the Arts UW-Milwaukee where he teaches courses in drawing, and is the wood shop technician at Kenilworth Square East.
