Biography

Owen has extensive real-world experience as an Animation Director and Character Animator in both stop motion and computer graphics. He has worked in numerous large and small studios on a wide variety of commercials, TV shows and pilots, games, special venue projects, and feature films. His credits include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 1, Anomalisa, Charlotte’s Web, Hell and Back, James and the Giant Peach, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Gumby, the Pillsbury Doughboy, Bump in the Night, Disney’s Dinosaur, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Having always enjoyed hiring and training young artists, he brings enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge to his classes in Stop Motion Animation, The Animation Business, and The Animation Production Process.
