His research interests encompass the multifaceted realm of mixed-race characters in film, a subject he explores with depth and nuance. Additionally, his passion for uncovering the life and works of Milwaukee author Gertrude Sanborn (1881 – 1928) demonstrates his dedication to preserving and disseminating lesser-known aspects of cultural history.
