Biography
Sam Taffel is a found footage filmmaker and performer from New York City. His work is largely preoccupied with deconstructing popular forms of media so as to question how our relationship with moving images informs and constructs our identities. His work has screened at galleries and festivals such as The Kitchen in New York City, ChaShaMa, Entrance Gallery, Woodbine, Onion City Film Festival and many other unaccredited, DIY spaces. In 2023 he received his MFA in Cinematic Arts from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee's school of Film, Video, Animation and New Genres.
