Notice of Construction on State 32 (N Lake Drive)

Project Overview: Approximately 0.85 miles of State 32 (N Lake Drive), from E Newberry Blvd to E Edgewood Ave, will undergo construction from July 22, 2024, until mid-2025. The project will be executed in two stages:

  • Stage One (2024): Construction between E Edgewood Ave and E Kenwood Blvd.
  • Stage Two (2025): Construction between E Kenwood Blvd and E Newberry Blvd.
Traffic Impact: State 32 will be closed to through traffic, with a posted detour during construction. The detour routes are as follows:
  • Northbound WIS 32 Detour: E Kenwood Blvd to N Oakland Ave to WIS 190 (Capital Drive)
  • Southbound WIS 32 Detour: WIS 190 (Capital Drive) to N Maryland Ave to E Kenwood Ave

One lane of southbound WIS 32 will remain open for local traffic only. Access to residents and local businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Access to the nearby Oak Leaf Trail will also be preserved during construction.
