COVID-19 Update: The Prowl Line operating during the Spring 2021 emester with limited capacity. No more than 25% of the seats can be occupied on any bus due to social distancing guidelines.
Prowl Line is a supplemental bus service that provides direct transportation from the Capitol and Humboldt (UPARK) Surface Lot to the UW-Milwaukee Kenwood Campus, and the North Ave Residence Halls; Cambridge Commons, Riverview Residence Hall, and Kenilworth Square Apartments.
To use the service, riders need to present their PantherCard to a scanner for the driver. It must be a physical PantherCard; digital student IDs, such as the GET mobile app are not supported. Guests of UWM Housing residents may accompany a UWM student, and must present photo identification to the driver.
Note: Students auditing classes or taking only online courses, traditionally are not paying segregated fees. This can be verified by reviewing the student’s PAWS account. The Capitol and Humboldt (UPARK) Surface Lot parking permit is not free to non-segregated fee-paying students. Non-segregated fee paying students will need to purchase the semester-long Capitol and Humboldt (UPARK) Surface Lot parking permit for $35.81.
Prowl Line (Commuters)
Students who pays segregated fees can get a free permit online at uwm.edu/transportation/portallogin. Otherwise, the associated charge is $2.00 per day (pay at pay station in UPARK Lot or via Parkmobile), or purchasing a permit online at uwm.edu/transportation/portallogin. The permit is $36.53 per semester, which Faculty and Staff can purchase via a pre-tax payroll deduction.
Residents of University Housing will find the Prowl Line to be a great means to access the UWM Kenwood Campus that is fast and convenient.
