Parking and Transit for Fall 2026

Student parking permits for UWM’s main campus are currently sold out. Cambridge, Kenilworth, and RiverView garages are also sold out.
Most commuter students can register for a free parking permit at U-PARK located at Capitol & Humboldt.  U-PARK has shuttles running every 10 minutes during the day to main campus.
Students can also register for a free student bus pass, or U-PASS, that can be used on any Milwaukee County Transit System bus, including several park and lot rides throughout Milwaukee county.
If you don't need to park on campus each day but want to guarantee parking, consider a daily parking reservation.

Off-Campus Shuttle

About the Off-Campus Shuttle

The Off-Campus Shuttle provides transportation to off-campus UWM location(s), and is available to students who are taking a class or performing research in one of the approved locations, and to faculty/staff who have UWM-related business and need transportation.

This service is intended solely for riders to get from the main UWM campus to the off-campus locations and back.

The Off-Campus Shuttle and approved locations are not to be used as a park and ride program, and ride requests may be denied to anyone parking at those locations.

Eligibility

The only valid off-campus location serviced by the shuttle is the Zilber School of Public Health. The Zilber School approves the eligibility of students to use the Off-Campus Shuttle.

Ride Requests

Ride requests can be made through a smartphone on the TransLoc app. If requests for a ride need to be made from a desktop computer visit, uwm.edu/transportation/saferide.

Monday through Thursday in Fall and Spring semester only: Servicing Zilber School of Public Health.

  • Departs the Union at 8:15 am/Arrives at Zilber at 8:30 am
  • Departs the Union at 11:15 am/Arrives at Zilber at 11:30 am
  • Departs the Union at 4:30 pm/Arrives at Zilber at 4:45 pm
