Asynchronous TA Orientation

The synchronous live orientation will be supplemented by an online Canvas course that offers asynchronous access to additional content. This portion of training will be available following the live content of August 27. More information, including access links, will be made available shortly.

New TA Social

Join us after the orientation for an authentic Milwaukee summertime tradition: Pete’s Pops! Cool off, meet your fellow new TA’s, and enjoy one of the many fun hand-made flavors. Please register below, so we know how many Pete’s Pops we should order!

Vegan, gluten, or dairy free options available.

Time and Location

The New TA Social will be held on campus following the New TA Orientation: 27 August, 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the park on the north-east corner of East Hartford and North Maryland Avenues.

Additional Travel Accommodations

Given potential disruption to travel, we realize you may not be able to attend the synchronous portions of the training. Therefore, all synchronous components of the New TA Orientation will be recorded, and special accommodations will be made if you are unable to attend the live/synchronous components.

If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to Lane Sunwall at sunwall@uwm.edu.
