UWM’s Center for Advancing Student Learning (CASL) empowers educators and students by fostering excellence in teaching, innovation in educational technology, and inclusive, high-impact learning experiences across all modalities. We support faculty and instructional staff through collaborative professional development, evidence-based pedagogical practices, and strategic integration of digital tools to enhance student engagement and success.

As a unified hub for teaching, online learning, and distributed education, we champion flexible, accessible, and student-centered approaches that reflect the diverse needs of our academic community. Through partnerships, support, and continuous improvement, we aim to cultivate a culture of teaching and learning that is inclusive, future-ready, and deeply rooted in the belief that all students can and will thrive at UWM.
