Leading Virtual and Hybrid Teams
Hybrid work is here to stay! Extensive research reported in 2024 shows that for remote-capable employees, hybrid is now the dominant work pattern. The good news is that hybrid workers are more engaged at work, experience less burnout, and are less likely to quit. Findings are similar for fully remote team members.
The bad news is that many organizations and their leaders struggle with how to leverage the benefits and manage the challenges. As of the end of 2023, 73% of hybrid managers and 80% of hybrid workers still have received no formal training on how to best work in a hybrid environment. These organizations are missing the benefits! (Gallup. October 9, 2023. The Future of the Office Has Arrived: It’s Hybrid.)
In this program, participants will learn best practices for workplace communication and collaboration, relationship building, assessing performance, and addressing proximity bias.
This program is a mix of two live online sessions using the Zoom platform and some self-directed learning in Canvas. The self-directed learning exercises will be available in Canvas one week before the live session and should be completed before that date.
