Art & Design Certificate Track
In Partnership With UWM Peck School of the Arts (PSOA)
UWM’s College for Kids & Teens is partnering with the UWM Peck School of the Arts (PSOA) to offer a certificate track opportunity for students interested in art & design. The certificate provides students with a base knowledge of art & design.
The Art & Design Certificate Track consists of two Arts Education/Community Ecosystem (ArtECO) core courses and three art & design electives for a total of five courses. All ArtECO core courses can be completed by students in grades 10-12 and art & design elective courses can be completed by students in grades 6-12.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain a base knowledge of art & design
- Experience 2D drawing, and 3D sculpture and digital art
- Explore interests in additional art & design disciplines including jewelry and metals, printmaking and digital fabrication
Courses
Register for two core courses and three elective courses from a selection of offerings. All core courses are for grades 10-12 and can be completed within a three-year window.
