Actuarial Club at UW-Milwaukee

The 6th annual Midwest Actuarial Student Conference (MASC) brought in more than 100 future actuaries from across the region to the UW-Milwaukee campus for actuarial industry news, job prospects and education in September.

The two-day event was organized by students in the Actuarial Club at UWM. The Actuarial Club members along with the Club’s President and Vice President, Jason Leurquin and Brittany Kern-Osthoff, began planning for the MASC in January.

“The goal of the Actuarial Club is to provide opportunities outside of the classroom for students to prepare themselves for actuarial exams, career opportunities, and to really grow as professionals,” Leurquin said.

The Actuarial Club was founded 10 years ago and focuses on bringing in speakers and providing study materials for students preparing for their actuarial exams.

The Actuarial Club meets on the second or last Thursday of each month at 7pm. For more information, contact Jason Leurquin or Brittany Kern-Osthoff.
