Working With Trauma – Choose Your Approach
An estimated 70 percent of adults in the United States have experienced a traumatic event at least once in their lives, and up to 20 percent of these people go on to develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) (sidran.org). This course provides a comprehensive understanding of trauma’s effects and explores client-centered trauma informed care. You are introduced to various evidence-based and alternative/complementary therapeutic modalities, empowering you to make informed referrals in the best interest of your clients. You gain an understanding of what it means to work with trauma and how to help clients understand trauma and its effects.
