Community Safety for Human Service Professionals
This comprehensive course is designed for human service and health care workers, probation and parole officers and others who perform routine home or field visits in community settings.
The focus of the course is on imparting practical skills and strategies for maintaining safety while working in various environments, particularly during home visits. We will cover a wide range of topics, including pre-visit planning, risk assessment, identifying warning signs, handling critical incidents and best practices for personal safety. Real-life scenarios are integrated throughout the course to enhance learning and application of safety techniques.
