American Sign Language I
Focus on American Sign Language (ASL) as a conversational language and everyday communication practice of American deaf people. Our ASL I course is for beginners or those looking for a refresher of the basics. Topics covered in the past have included: Greetings, Numbers, Colors, Jobs, Activities, Cities, Families, Emotions, Food & Beverages, Health, and Animals.
No required textbook.
This course is for beginning ASL speakers, there is no prerequisite.
This is a noncredit enrichment program. Progress and courses completed are marked by Continuing Education Units. CEUs are not transferable to college or university transcripts.
