Laboratory Gas Safety Training

The Class is for all: Faculty, Researchers, Staff, and Students that work with gases in labs/ studios/ shops. Each lab that works with laboratory cylinders tanks should have at least one representative attending. Please feel free to forward or post this training notice to anyone who may want/ need it

Our topics will cover:

  • General gas cylinder safety
  • Gas cylinder Regulators/gauges – how to set up, check and understand them
  • Choosing the correct lines – compatibility of gas lines for the various gases
  • Cryogenic liquids – how to use, handle, PPE needed.
  • Flame arrestors – when to use and how to use
  • Handling or using corrosive or toxic gases
