Speaker: Professor Sameena Mulla, PhD
Dr. Sameena Mulla is associate professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences at Marquette University. Her research interests include legal anthropology; medical technology; the anthropology of expert knowledge; and race, gender and the body.
Dr. Mulla is the author of The Violence of Care: Rape Victims, Forensic Nurses, and Sexual Assault Intervention (NYU Press 2014), winner of the Margaret Mead Award presented by the American Anthropological Association and the Society for Applied Anthropology. She is also co-editor of the book series “Police/Worlds: Studies in Security Crime and Governance” at Cornell University Press.
