2019 UWM Archaeological Field School Open House at Aztalan

The 2019 UWM Archaeological Fields School will host an Open House at Aztalan State Park on Saturday, June 29. Excavation units will be open for viewing, artifacts will be on display, and students and staff will be on hand to lead tours and answer questions. Come see what the students have accomplished and get a look at the new interpretive signage located throughout the park.

Aztalan State Park is located about one-quarter mile south of the Village of Aztalan in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. The park address is: N6200 County Rd Q, Jefferson, WI 53549

Directions:

From Milwaukee or points east: Take I-94 west to the STH 26 exit at Johnson Creek Outlet Mall. Turn left and follow STH 26 south to CTH B. Turn right and follow CTH B west to CTH Q. Turn left on CTH Q and the park entrance will be on your left about one-quarter mile south of the CTH B and Q intersection.

From Madison or points west: Take I-94 east to the STH 89 exit at Lake Mills. Turn right on STH 89, at the McDonalds, turn right on E Tyranena Park Road and continue to CTH B (E Lake Street). Turn left and follow CTH B east to CTH Q. Turn right on CTH Q and the park entrance will be on your left about one-quarter mile south of the CTH B and Q intersection.

A Wisconsin State Park admission sticker is required for admission to the park. Daily passes and annual stickers can be purchased at the park entrance.
