Sara Finger

Sara Finger, Executive Director, Embolden WI
Since 2004, Sara has been leading an effort to ensure policy happens with people rather than to them. She is proud to call herself an “advocacy doula” and lives to help embolden others to be effective advocates for positive change. Sara graduated with a degree in Political Science from UW Eau Claire and has continued to live as an eager learner of all things policy, advocacy, leadership, nonprofit management, and social justice. She is honored to have been recognized with several awards including being named a Champion of Change by the Obama White House for her work on the Affordable Care Act. Sara is motivated and inspired to radically imagine a healthier democracy in our state by her 14 year old daughter Layla and 11 year old son William. To practice critical self care, Sara loves to do crossword puzzles and Lego sets!
