Les Howles has more than 30 years of experience in eLearning, instructional design and multimedia learning. He is a recognized leader in the field of online education. He was the director of Distance Education Professional Development at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Division of Continuing Studies. Throughout his career, Les has designed and taught online courses, led teams of designers, programmers, instructors, technologists and digital media specialists in creating innovative solutions for education and training. He has worked in multiple industries including higher education, corporate training, government, and health care and has worked as an independent eLearning design consultant. He co-authored several articles for professional publications related to learning and technology. Les holds undergraduate degrees from Saint Edward’s University and State University of New York, Brockport. He earned his master’s degree in educational technology from the University of Oregon. Les has been a frequent presenter at regional, national and international conferences.
