Ann Martel

Ann Martel is the instructor of Finance Skills for Non-Financial Professionals for The School of Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Ann is a highly regarded business leader with a passion for delivering high-energy presentations and classes on the topics of business acumen and improving personal results. Clients such as WellPoint, Inc., Honeywell and Land O Lakes have praised her business knowledge, strategic approach and “real world” insight.

A dynamic executive with more than 20 years of Fortune 500 Company and government contracting experience, and Certified Public Accountant, Ann possesses the unique capability to develop financial literacy at all levels of an organization.  She has held Controller, Director of Accounting or CFO roles at many organizations including American Family Insurance, WellPoint Inc, and Attic Angel Community. She believes in consistently obtaining results through leadership, culture and financial acumen for all professionals.  Ann believes that Finance can be Fun and has developed the Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial Professionals around an energetic simulation where participants learn the foundations of financial literacy by running their own company.

Ann’s many years of teaching experience at Marquette University in Milwaukee and Lakeland College of Sheboygan has prepared her to engage audiences of all levels of tenure and experience.

Ann holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin and has completed the coursework for her MBA from Cardinal Stritch University.
