LGBTQ+ Intersectional Identities
This course is designed to provide essential multicultural and intersectional information as it relates to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and more (LGBTQ+) populations in the United States including demographic characteristics and sociopolitical history for LGBTQIA+ communities and their influence. Specific topics such as LGBTQIA+ identity, intersection of multiple identities and social class are discussed. The course also focuses on contemporary issues and practice considerations with an emphasis on multiculturalism.
