Japanese for Travelers
Learn useful language for everyday situations on your next trip to Japan. Develop a deeper understanding of the traditions and culture of Japan.
Lessons focus on ordering food, shopping, asking for directions, using public transportation and other relevant phrases. This course is specially designed for those who have taken little to no Japanese or those wanting a basic refresher before traveling to Japan.

- Demonstrate and practice basic vocabulary.
- Participate in simple conversations about everyday topics (e.g., meeting new people, shopping, weather, etc.)
- Gain confidence in speaking, listening and using basic phrases.
Prerequisites
This course is for beginning Japanese speakers. There is no prerequisite.
Notes
This is a noncredit enrichment program. Progress and courses completed are marked by Continuing Education Units. CEUs are not transferable to college or university transcripts.
