Assessing Student Comprehension of Learning to Solve Systems of Linear Equations with Practical Applications Through In-Class Group Project

In this presentation, we will demonstrate the effectiveness of project-based learning by looking at the outcomes of a group project implementation in Math 98. We will first review project-based learning techniques and approaches that were used as background information for this study. The analysis of survey and final exam data will then be discussed and conclusions about student comprehension and retention of the material are made following a comparison of the final exam data results of the students from the experimental and control groups.
