Nonmanifold Manifolds!

“We describe the construction of a  collection of compact “n-manifolds” modeled on spaces other than R^n. These spaces provide counterexamples to a well-known conjecture of Bing-Borsuk. Both results and open problems will be discussed. This is joint work with John Bryant.”
