The space of all closed subgroups of a Lie group, especially PSL(2,R)

If G is a Lie group, let Sub(G) be the set of all subgroups H of G that are topologically closed subsets of G. There is a natural topology on Sub(G), called the Chabauty topology. We’ll define the Chabauty topology, do a few examples, and talk about recent progress on the Chabauty space of the Lie group PSL(2,R), where hyperbolic geometry will play a role.
