Please join us for an outdoor, relaxing, autumn poetry reading featuring Native American poets: Kimberly Blaeser (UWM Professor of English and current Wisconsin Poet Laureate), Franklin K.R. Cline (UWM Creative Writing PhD student and instructor), and b: william bearhart (MFA student at the Institute of American Indian Arts).
Bring your own blankets, chairs, beverages, and snacks. The event will begin at 1:00 and last for 75 minutes or so, but the park is free and open to the public — so plan to have yourself a Sunday with us! (The Packers have a bye that week…!) We’ll gather near the Solomon Juneau statue overlooking Lake Michigan (near Prospect and Kilbourn Avenues). Rain or shine.
Check out our Facebook event page for updates on back-up venues in case of poor weather: https://www.facebook.com/events/1082027935170509/
