Visiting artist and “multi-sensory storyteller” Kristine Diekman will give a presentation about her fascinating work that incorporates narrative and interactive tabletop installations. As a sound artist, she creates multi-sensory pieces that activate tactility and deep listening. As an educator, she facilitates international workshops in embodied storytelling and physical computing that lead participants through writing, craft, computing, and sound production to create interactive tactile audio interfaces to tell their stories. Her work occupies a fascinating intersection between narrative forms, electronic art, and audience participation as well as deep ecology and ethics of care.
