Join the TRIO McNair Scholars Program in amplifying the narrative of first-generation college student experiences, needs, and accomplishments on November 8, National First-Generation College Student Day. This is a celebration of resiliency in the face of systemic barriers that continue to plague higher education and an opportunity to feature the academic contributions of first-generation students on the UWM campus. Highlighting necessary support for first-generation students’ academic success and professional development towards graduate education, the McNair Scholars Program will present panel discussions, multimedia materials, and workshops that feature first-generation McNair Scholars/Alumni and the first-generation UWM McNair Faculty Mentors.
