Add an energizer to your next meeting! We’ve assembled three tote bags for you to check out and use with your student organization, student staff, or other groups of students. The totes include activities for team building, energizing, and breaking the ice. Suggested activities are designed for 5-50 participants (or more if you check out multiple totes) and include all of the supplies that you’ll need. Email firstname.lastname@example.org today to check one out or learn more about our totes for you.
Custom Workshops & Assessments
We work for student organizations and campus departments to create custom leadership workshops. To date, we’ve worked with the Life Impact Program, MKE Scholars, the College of Nursing, Living Learning Communities, Lawton Scholars, University Housing, and student organizations to customize programs to meet their leadership needs. Fill-out an interest form for your custom workshop.
Atop of original workshops, we also offer leadership style assessments. Learning about one’s leadership style and strengths is an essential component of growing as a leader and working more effectively with others. We offer Clifton Strengthsfinder© and Student Leadership Practices Inventory, among other assessments. Whether it’s part of a staff training or helping program participants to grow as leaders, we’re happy to deliver an assessment or custom program to meet your needs. If you would like to consider potential assessments, email email@example.com.
On the third floor of the Union, you have full access to the Leadership Library. Available to you are works from many acclaimed authors within the world of Leadership. You may find books related to making ideas stick, exploring leadership theories, navigating tricky conversations, tips for guiding groups, or activating change in yourself or others. Ask the Student Involvement front desk on the third floor of the Student Union for more information.
For Campus Employees
We have three services aimed to enrich staff and student UWM employment:
- The G.R.O.W. worksheet assists students with learning through their work.
- SLP Staff Sessions supply employees with professional development opportunities.
- Student Employee Development aims to provide supervisors of students with the resources and opportunities to develop their students into well-rounded, efficient student staff members.
