Chinese

Say “nǐ hǎo” to the Standard Chinese language by diving headfirst into one of several enriching courses. Almost 1.2 billion people speak Chinese as a first language (it’s also one of the six languages of the United Nations). Whether you’re looking to travel the world or get a leg up in business, it’s never too late to get started.

At UWM School of Continuing Education, you will learn how to listen and speak in the Mandarin dialect and read and write in Pinyin (the official Romanization system using Chinese characters). There are a variety of courses to suit any skill level. Each class is taught by expert instructors who are immersed in the communication and culture of the language.
