Stephen Thome

Steve is currently the Principal of SMT Food Safety Solutions LLC, a consulting firm focused on improving food safety and quality management systems. Steve has over 32 years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing Quality and Food Safety systems across a broad spectrum of food and food ingredient categories as well as in the development, assessment, and improvement of systems to assure compliance to industry standards. He has a MS in Bacteriology from the University of Idaho and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and served on an International Technical Committee from 2014-2021.
