Stefano Liotta, M.S.

Stefano Liotta is a native of Rome, Italy. He moved to Milwaukee in 1989, where he enrolled in the English as a Second Language program at UW-Milwaukee. In 1997 he received a bachelor’s in architecture, followed by a master’s degree in architecture in 1999. Since then, he has worked as a designer for different Milwaukee architecture firms.

His teaching career began in 1998 when he was asked to teach a high school computer drafting course. This first experience helped him realize that teaching can be very rewarding as well as a lot of fun! Being a native of Italy, teaching Italian is his main field of expertise. He is passionate about the Italian language, culture and food. He is certified to teach English as a Second Language, which allows him to teach English to speakers of different native languages.

What he likes best about teaching is the relationship that develops between the teacher and the students. Teaching also gave him a chance to meet many different people from all walks of life and he truly hopes to be able to continue to teach for years to come.
