Andria De Toro

Andria De Toro has a BA in Psychology from UW Milwaukee and a JD from UW-Madison School of Law. She began as a volunteer for Sojourner as an undergraduate student. After law school, she practiced law privately for one of the first all female law practices in Wisconsin. She eventually decided that her heart was with victim advocacy and took a position with Sojourner Truth House as both an advocate in the DA’s office and Community Educator for the agency. She subsequently went on to work for the City of Milwaukee Department of Health as the Manager of Public Safety and the Coordinator for the City’s Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She then went on to work as Community Advocate and adjunct to the Common Counsel for the Mayor’s Office. After taking some time off to raise her two boys, and assist her mother in growing her retail business, Andria returned to her roots with Sojourner Family Peace Center. She now is a High Risk Advocate for the agencies Community Domestic Abuse Advocacy Program and is in charge of addressing DV, trafficking and sexual assault as it presents in the suburbs. She also fills in when needed in various districts for the Milwaukee Police Department. She is also a member of the Milwaukee County Domestic Violence High Risk Team and the Milwaukee Joint Task Force Against Human Trafficking.
