Venetian and Northern Renaissance Art

Venetian and Northern Renaissance art had special characteristics that distinguished their works from that of Central Italian Renaissance artists like Leonardo da Vinci. The two styles are very different but share a love of vibrant color. Religious subjects and portraiture were central to both. Lecture will also cover the discovery of oil paint.
