EAA at 70: Milwaukee and Beyond
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) was founded in Milwaukee in 1953, but today is most closely associated with Oshkosh and the world’s largest fly-in convention. EAA’s years in Milwaukee, however, formed the foundation for the organization that now has more than 270,000 members. The world of personal flight has been forever changed by the group of Milwaukee-area aviators who started EAA.
