The study of Geometry provides students the opportunity to describe and apply the properties of similar and congruent figures, to apply the Pythagorean Theorem, to understand angles, to compare parallel and perpendicular lines, to explore compass and straight edge constructions in the context of geometric theorems, and to use a variety of techniques of proof. The class will move at a more accelerated pace and will solve more challenging problems encountered in Geometry.
