As has been tradition, the English department sent its elite running team, the Run-Ons, to participate in the annual PantherProwl. This 5k run/walk is hosted by the UWM Alumni Association and raises funds to support student scholarships. Last year, nearly 1600 runners and walkers participated.

In 2017, the Run-Ons hoped to reach their goal of $100. “Each fall, this team wins something,” urges team captain Liam Callanan, “largest team, speediest team, most money raised, biggest age range, brightest, smartest, winsomest — but we cannot do so without your contribution.”
