Profs Shama Mirza, Mark Dietz and Andrew Pacheco received the internal “Research Growth Initiative” grant provided by the UWM Office of Research. Prof. Dietz will investigate controlled porosity supports for improved extraction chromatographic separations. Prof. Shama Mirza is the Co-PI of two grants that were submitted by Prof. Sandeep Gopalakrishnan (College of Nursing) and Prof. Michael Laiosa (School of Public Health). Finally, Prof. Pacheco will investigate the conformational gating of Mycobacterium tuberculosis truncated Hemoglobin N. Congratulations!
