The Science and Application of Meditation and Mindfulness in conversation with Susan Lubar and Dr. Richard Davidson
Well Entrepreneur Community Conversations and the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center are excited to welcome Dr. Richard
Davidson, founder and director of the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin and Founder and Chief
Visionary for Healthy Minds Innovations.
Davidson is best known for his groundbreaking work studying emotion and the brain. A friend and confidant of the Dalai
Lama, he leads conversations on well-being, neuroplasticity, and happiness around the world on stages such as the
World Economic Forum, where he served on the Global Council on Mental Health. Time Magazine named Davidson one
of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2006.
Dr. Davidson will share how the science of well-being can support innovation and help entrepreneurs flourish. This
conversation will explore:
● Scientific evidence on neuroplasticity showing that we can change our brains by transforming our minds and
cultivate habits of mind that will improve well-being
● Well-being as a skill for entrepreneurs
● An opportunity to try the tools and practices discussed during the talk
