Parastoo Anoushahpour is an Iranian artist based in Toronto with a moving image practice working predominantly with video and installation. This program of short films explores the tension of multiple subjectivities as a strategy to address the power inherent in narrative structures. Her film THE TIME THAT SEPARATES US uses the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah to explore contested geographies and narratives along the Jordan River Valley, depicting the landscape through multiple media, including security camera footage, 8mm film, smartphone imagery, and vintage photography.
