The process of how we bring new staff on board is one of the most critical factors in ensuring recently hired staff become productive, content employees. This training will cover effective ways to bring on new staff that go beyond the “Staff Orientation Checklist”. The actual onboarding is a strategic plan that addresses all the employee’s needs helping them to become thoroughly introduced to their role and the program’s culture and goals.

Michelle Doughty

Michelle has 25 years of experience in the field and has worn just about every hat one can wear. She has a master’s degree in early childhood and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood administration and has spent the last five years training other teachers. Michelle is currently the professional development coordinator at the Kettle Moraine YMCA and is a Tier 3 trainer and technical assistant. Her biggest goal as a trainer is for every participant to walk away with at least one thing they can implement in their current position.
