Learn More About Osher

With the support of The Bernard Osher Foundation, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM provides classes, special interest groups, Go Explore field trips and educational travel adventures for adults interested in learning new things in a dynamic, welcoming community of peers. An Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) can be found on the campuses of more than 120 colleges and universities throughout the United States.

The OLLI at UWM is part of the School of Continuing Education and operates under the direction of four full-time staff members and a volunteer advisory council. Numerous opportunities exist to volunteer on committees, present courses, facilitate programs, lead special interest groups and help with unique projects. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM Locations

The Osher Institute is part of the UWM School of Continuing Education with classes taking place regularly at the historic Edith S. Hefter Conference Center, 3271 N Lake Dr, Milwaukee. The building is located at the corner of Lake Drive and Hartford Avenue just a few blocks east of UWM’s main campus. Free, on-street parking is available on the surrounding streets.

DOWNTOWN CONFERENCE CENTER
A few classes each term take place at the UWM Downtown Conference Center at 161 W Wisconsin Ave, 7th floor.

The School of Continuing Education provides a parking discount for participants in its classes/programs who park in The Shops of Grand Avenue structure. The structure is entered from Plankinton Avenue between Wisconsin Avenue and Michigan Street.

Bring your parking ticket to the 7th floor reception desk to have it validated for a discounted rate.

From the parking structure, enter the Plankinton Building/Shops of Grand Avenue mall and walk around the rotunda to the elevators on the north side of the building (closest to Wisconsin Avenue). Take the elevators to the 7th floor
