Thomas Lane

Thomas Lane is a highly creative and versatile professional with well-developed art skills as a visual arts teacher, production artist and graphic designer. Thomas has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has taken several courses at Concordia University in their educational administration master’s program. Thomas has worked for one of the largest marketing companies in the state of Wisconsin for more than 12 years. Currently he is a small business owner in graphic design solutions where he creates effective marketing materials. In the world of education, Thomas has taught in the Private School Choice Programs for more than 10 years with a heavy emphasis on teaching and learning. Education is the driving force and blueprint behind him becoming a teacher. He understands the importance of an education, and the value of time spent teaching and volunteering in youth sports programs. Thomas believes in community service and relationships that are built on respect, trust, honesty – working together strong and growing. Thomas’ personal experiences and expertise in art and in education are enriched by the ethnically diverse students he teaches. He finds education to be very rewarding as a role model, advisor, coach, teacher and parent. Being a teacher has taught him the value of self-discipline, purpose, respect, and possibilities, as well as a love for teaching and the chance to see his students disseminate information and apply what they have learned through real-time critical thinking.
