Olha Husak

Olha has been an ESL teacher since 2010 and is a native speaker of Ukrainian. Originally from Ukraine, Olha recently relocated to the United States, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and cultural insight. With a Master’s degree in Education, she possesses a solid foundation in language instruction and curriculum development.

Olha’s teaching philosophy centers around creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking and cultural awareness. One of the highlights of her teaching career was the opportunity to work at a summer class for kids organized by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) focusing on Ukrainian language and culture. Seeing the deep interest people had in Ukraine, its history and culture, as well as hearing the personal stories of students who were eager to learn Ukrainian, made Olha immensely proud. It reinforced her belief in the importance of practical language skills and cultural understanding in today’s global society.

In addition to her expertise in teaching English, Olha is passionate about sharing her knowledge of Ukrainian language and culture. Outside of the classroom, Olha enjoys tennis, hiking, skiing and traveling. She is excited about the opportunity to share her love for Ukrainian culture and language with students and to contribute to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment.
